Enrollment and Registration

WELCOME TO THE NORWALK CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT!

From preschool through high school, our school district is proud to offer some of the best educational choices to students and families in our area.

Over 300 teachers and staff members are at work supporting the academic needs of more than 2,700 students at our 6 schools.

STEPS FOR ENROLLING A STUDENT:

Norwalk City School District is excited to announce that we have partnered with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service, to enroll new K-12 students online. 


PRESCHOOL STUDENTS:
If you have a Preschool student, please click here to go to the Preschool page for an application. If your student is accepted into the preschool program, you will complete your forms with the Preschool Director, not FinalForms. 

NORWALK CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT RESIDENT STUDENTS GRADES K-12:
(If you do not have access to a computer or smart phone, please contact the building your child(ren) will attend to set up an appointment in which you will be provided a computer and any assistance needed.)
 

 2.  A custodial parent or legal guardian must provide the following documents via uploading to FinalForms, email documents, or bring them to the office:
  • Child’s Birth Certificate
  • Parent/Guardian Driver’s License or State Issued ID Card
  • Student’s Immunization Records
  • Proof of Residency
>Home Owner – Two of the following must be presented: Tax Bill, Mortgage Coupon, Insurance Statement, Declaration Pay Check Stub, Bank Statement, Signed Purchase Agreement with Occupancy Date, or any other official documentation deemed appropriate by the superintendent that is issued to the parent or student and includes the address of the parent’s or student’s primary residence.
>Tenant – Signed Lease Agreement with Property Owner
  • Proof of Custody (if applicable) – In the event of a legal separation or divorce, the parent who has legal custody must provide a complete copy of the court-ordered custody agreement that indicated the parent is the residential parent of the child for school purposes.
 

NON-RESIDENT STUDENTS GRADES K-12:
The Norwalk City School District accepts students through open enrollment from any district in the state of Ohio. Acceptance is on a first-come-first-served basis. Applications for open enrollment (click here for more information) will be accepted from May 1 - July 1. Open enrollment must be approved prior to registration and accepted students must reapply every year.
