Norwalk, OH 44857
Each day, the Norwalk City School District's bus fleet of 22 buses serves almost 1,300 eligible (see below) public and parochial students in 15 bus routes, traveling 1,081 miles.  Additionally, the Transportation Dept. provides busing for athletic contests and educational field trips.

Bus Routes

NCSD utilizes online bus routing software called Traversa to plan routes most efficient for the district. You may access Traversa to view your child's route information.

There are two ways to access Traversa: via the Traversa website or the Traversa Ride 360 mobile app.

You will login with the following:

Username: Student ID number (same as the one you use for online payments/grades). Call the school your child attends or will attend for this number if you do not have it. Please do not call the Transportation Dept.

ELIGIBILITY ZONES FOR PUPIL TRANSPORTATION

The NCSD Board of Education provides transportation for resident elementary students in grades kindergarten through eight, who live more than one mile from school, and for all students with physical or mental disabilities that make walking impossible or unsafe. Transportation is provided for high school students who reside two miles from the school.

The administration designates and the Board approves areas of residence from which students are provided transportation to schools. The Board may create exceptions to the established eligibility zones.

Resident students attending a joint vocational school are provided with transportation to the program from the high school they are assigned to.

The Board authorizes the staff responsible for administering the student transportation program to require student identification as a prerequisite to riding a school bus when this is deemed necessary.
